About the Chamber

Since 1986 the Clay County Chamber of Commerce has been a voluntary dynamic organization made up of over 300 business and professional people interested in supporting or doing business in Clay County. It’s strengths lie in the number and diversity of its membership. Both large and small businesses from virtually every profession are represented and influence investments in our Chamber.

Mission Statement

  • To promote the economic well-being of our local business community.
  • To aid in the collaboration of business with local government, civic, local organizations and represent the businesses regionally.
  • To provide a better economic climate for businesses to thrive.
  • To enhance our quality of life for everyone in our community.

Purpose

The purpose of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce is to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the businesses, organizations and individuals of Clay County.  The Chamber shall work to foster an orderly and sustained economic growth that preserves and enhances Clay County’s unique resources of scenic beauty amid clean and healthful surroundings.  All appropriate means of promotion shall be provided, with particular attention and emphasis given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and education interests of the area while maintaining the highest possible standards of aesthetic and environmental excellence.

What is a Chamber of Commerce?

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce is:

A voluntary organization that unites the business and professional people in an effort to expand the economy of the area.

 Business people concerned with improving the area they do business in and are willing to do something about it actively.

 

The Clay County Chamber is not:

A department of the city, county or state government

A political body, civic club, or professional society

A social service, welfare, or charitable institution

A private advertising, publicity, or public relations agency
