Machine type: TREBUCHET

A trebuchet[nb 1] (French trébuchet) is a type of siege engine most frequently used in the Middle Ages. It is sometimes called a counterweight trebuchet or counterpoise trebuchet, to distinguish it from an earlier weapon called the traction trebuchet, where men pulling ropes provided the power.

Team "Hayesville Hurlers" with their machine "

Sir Launch-a-Lot"

under the leadership of Captain Butch Wiegold has been participating since 2010 and winning as the local machine from 2010 thru 2014. Just this year they lost out to the compressed air machine "SSRG". This team has proven over again that they know what they are doing.
